"It can't be that hard, right?"
In the clay aisle of my local craft store, after having selected my favorite beads, I contemplated buying a large pack of different colored polymer clay. I loved it as a kid, and as an adult I'd have even more skill with it. (Or so I thought.)
I decided to embark on the polymer clay jewelry journey. At first, they were little gifts I was excited to give to friends and family whenever I had holiday-themed ideas. Soon, I started to get better at it. I'd wear my creations out in public and after having been asked many times where I got them I decided I would one day sell them myself, when I was convinced I was good enough.
The right clay, baking temperatures, fixtures, and themes had to be almost perfect, and while I'm not there just yet I think we're close!
Thus, Made by Maddie was born.
Mission
I wanted to create unique earrings that bring color and excitement to every day life, a way to feel cute and express your personal style.

What started as a hobby turned into a passion.
With a few scraps of polymer clay I began to mold and shape designs into the fun, goofy, pretty things I wanted to see in stores. I began to find my own style, refine what I made, and, best of all, share this with the people I love.
A small interest turned into cat necklaces for a friend's birthday, themed earrings on holidays, and beaded pieces for special events. And now I get to share that with you!
